Monday again.....the weekend just went by way too fast. Saturday, Lanny and I took a little trip to Bell Buckle to the RC Cola & Moon Pie Festival. In my opinion, it was really not that much. To really describe what and who we saw, take a look at my first picture and the guy in the background! ha ha! I didn't know this was there until I uploaded the picture.
If you're going to a festival that is all about the RC Cola & the MoonPie...well, you have to have one or two. I have to say, I had never had a MoonPie before and I don't know if I'll have another one. I wasn't a big fan of it.
The start of probably the shortest "parade" I think I've ever seen. All maybe 5 cars of it! ha ha!
I'm sure you can't tell, but that is Meryl Rose & Lelan Statom from Talk of the Town/News Channel 5. They were the King & Queen of the festival.
The end....all the RC Cola is gone. Honestly, I don't know if this is a festival that we will go back to again. I've been to the October craft fair in Bell Buckle several times, and maybe it's all changed in the past few years I haven't been, but it just wasn't much to speak of. It was like going to a flea market with a bunch of sweaty people while watching really really bad cloggers. ha ha!

I usually run the 10-mile race that they have along with the festival. It's a great race through the country, but boy was it hot this year! I'm glad I didn't sign up!
