I finally dug my way out of my craft room!

Hard to believe that September is already here.  I love Fall though and I am planning on putting what little Fall decorations I have out sometime today.  I would have more, but the colors of the inside of my house, clash with most Fall colors.

Ok, back to what the title of this post hinted to....  After I stenciled the onesies, I decided to do something else with the technique.  My mom had mentioned that while working in her church welcome area, they were always spilling coffee on themselves while working.  So, I decided to help them out and I made them an apron.  They didn't turn out perfect and I think it's because of the heavier weight fabric the aprons were made of and that made the paint feather.  I have another white apron for myself that I'm going to stencil that's a lighter fabric and once I get that done, I'll post it.  Here are the aprons I made for my mom and her friend Ann....

This month was also also filled with some decorating/redecorating.  I was tired of my master bedroom bedding.  I was ready for something more sleek and simple.  it's a little hard to tell from the picture (terrible bedroom lighting), but it's sage green and chocolate brown.  I also finally got some curtains in there!  Oh...I watered that peace lily right after I took this picture.  lol  It's huge....I know!

I also finally got something up on the window in my living room.  This window puzzled me for a long time because it's SOOOOO close to my mantle.  There is literally like an inch of space from the mantle to the window.  So, I didn't want a curtain rod that had a very big finial and I decided to pull the curtain to one side.  Oh....it's navy blue since you can't tell that from the picture....

My biggest project here recently was a 1st birthday party collection.  I am very happy with how everything turned out.  You'll see pictures of the invitation, banner, a larger display sign, and 4 smaller signs in the following slideshow.

I've had a couple of job interviews in the past couple of weeks, but haven't heard back yet.  Hopefully, things are going to finally turn around for me soon.  God bless and I hope everyone has a blessed rest of your week and safe Labor Day weekend.
