My goodness, there was a fence behind all the weeds!!!

With the nice weather we have had here lately, Lanny FINALLY finished cleaning out our fence row.  To understand what it was before, just picture that all you see is a wall of weeds, tall grass, vines, etc.... that are all tangled up in the barbwire.  Yeah, it was pretty bad.  Our goal is to eventually mulch the front part of it and put up an attractive new wood farm fence on our side of the treeline and then have a privacy fence in the backyard.  Here are a couple of pictures that show the front and back fenceline....

All of the flooding a week ago was just terrible.  Thank God our house was totally fine, but that still didn't mean we weren't affected.  Lanny and I had been visiting family in Lawrenceburg on Friday & Saturday.  We drove home in the rain on Saturday (the rain hadn't quite made it to Lawrence County when we left) and when we arrived in Gladeville, we couldn't get to our house!  We tried at least 5 different ways, but they were all flooded out.  So, thankfully we were able to get to my parents house and stayed Saturday & Sunday.  When we finally returned home on Monday this is what our first try getting to our house looked like...
Thankfully we were able to try one other way and made it home just fine and even this water was down just a few hours later with the days heat.

Lanny and I bought a birdfeeder last weekend.  It's the cutest thing because it's a windmill.  Lanny's family has a thing with windmills because of our last name and Holland being known for its windmills.  I just went out to check it and apparently the birds have finally discovered it because there was seed missing!

Lastly, I have made a few cards here lately...
A birthday card for Linda

A birthday card for Heather.

This was stuck in the pot of flowers we gave Lanny's mom.

I hope that everyone has a blessed week!
