A visit to Jack Daniel's Distillery!

On Saturday, October 24th, Lanny and I drove to Lynchburg for the 21st Annual Jack Daniel's Invitational Barbecue World Championship.  It was such a fun day.  The weather was chilly in the morning, but the clouds cleared out by late afternoon.  We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, all the food, and visiting the little shops on the square.  I would love to come back to Lynchburg when it's not quite so crowded with BBQ fans and bikers!  Apparently bikers, BBQ, and JD go well together!  ha ha!  Here are some pictures from our visit...

Both of us with Jack Daniel....he was only 5 ft. 4 in. tall and wore a size 4 shoe!

Lanny in the lobby with the original statue of Jack (his real name is Jasper).

A view of part of the Lynchburg square.

Since I don't know if I'll post again this week, I am going ahead and posting a picture of the Halloween card that I made.  I only made a select few....so not everyone got one this time around.  They turned out super cute though.  Gotta love some sparkly spiders!

My next blog entry will probably be about our little mini-vacation to Pigeon Forge next week!  So excited to get away for a few days!  I pray that everyone has a blessed week!
